Google latest FCC filing reveals details about its Google Glass project

Through a recent filing Google made with the Federal Communications Commission (FCC), some interesting details about its Google Glass project. Engadget reports that the wearable device that first debuted at last year’s Google I/O conference is carrying a Broadcom 2.4GHz 802.11 b/g WiFi radio paired with a Bluetooth 4.0 + LE module.
Google has stated that the first Google Glass device will begin shipping in early 2013 and there has been much talk about it around the Internet. From being named one of 2012′s best inventions by TIME magazine, seeing co-founder Sergey Brin wearing it in a New York City subway, to having a select group of developers access to the high-tech glasses at a secret event — people are interested in seeing how this will change our lives.
Based on Google’s filings, it’s definitely inching closer towards sending out the first of many devices for its early users to test out.
